PRESIDENT & FOUNDER

PASTOR, JULIE A. PAUL

In July 1998, Julie Paul began working with the teenagers at the Saginaw County Juvenile Detention Center (SCJDC). Within a few months, she became aware of the needs that could be met by a faith-based organization which offered the teens in detention Biblically-based guidance and instruction. With that in mind, Forgotten Youth Ministries (FYM), a non-denominational, non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization was founded in December 1999.

As the founder of FYM, Julie has served as president since its beginning in 1999. As well as working in administration, Julie is a mentor for FYM’s The TRUTH Program and leads the FYM Gather Program at the juvenile center by serving on the worship team and sharing messages during the church services there.

Julie is a licensed, ordained Senior Chaplain and a life-time member of the International Fellowship of Chaplains. She is also a lay pastor with Calvary Chapel, having earned a Certificate of Completion from the Berean Bible and Leadership Institute. Julie attends Old Town Christian Outreach Center in Saginaw, MI where she is also a lay minister. She enjoys playing the guitar and helps lead worship at the church services in the Saginaw County Juvenile Detention Center.

VICE PRESIDENT

PASTOR, BRENDA NOLISH

Pastor Brenda Nolish is the Vice President of Forgotten Youth Ministries and has served on the Board of Directors since 2010.

Brenda is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. Brenda worked for the Saginaw County Juvenile Center as a probation officer from 1985 until she retired in 2009.

She is currently the Pastor of Evangelism and Outreach and one of the youth pastors at Saginaw Valley Community Church. Brenda has been a missionary since 2003, traveling to foreign countries throughout the world including Africa, Guatemala, and the Arctic.

SECRETARY & TREASURER

JEAN OLIVARES

Jean Olivares is the Secretary/Treasurer of FYM and has been a board member since 2006.

She is a licensed chaplain with the IFOC and is employed by the local school districts as a substitute teacher.

Jean has a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and is the coordinator for the Clothed with Love Ministry at Saginaw First Assembly of God.

Jean is an active volunteer in various capacities in the community.
